Dr. D. Aruna Kumari , Professor & HoD at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. She has an extensive and fruitful teaching experience of 19 years. She worked at KLCE from 2005 to 2016. Presently, she is the HoD & BoS Chairman of Department of Computer Science and Engineering at VJIT. She has always been motivating faculty in research activities and publishing quality journal papers. Under her visionary approach, the faculty and students are motivated to study and work for the betterment of the institution. She has established Center of Excellence In Generative AI with Viswham (SWECHA) which is first of its kind among Engineering colleges in Telangana. Her research endeavors have been marked by notable achievements and contributions. She secured a significant grant as Principal Investigator with Rs. 1,18,61,430/- from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for a project aimed at enhancing agricultural sustainability through IoT technology for the social and economic empowerment of Scheduled Caste communities in Moinabad Mandal, Rangareddy District, Telangana State, in March 2023.

She successfully completed a project titled “Design and Development of an Effective Privacy Preserving Data Mining Technique for Cardiac, Cancer, and Diabetic Healthcare” funded by DST-SERB from 2015 to 2018, with a funding of Rs. 35,78,000/-. She successfully completed a Project titled “ Mobile Harding “ funded by DRDO-RCI from 2016 – 2019 , with a funding of Rs.10,000/-. Her research output is impressive, with over 105 publications in various esteemed journals and conferences and published 5 patents. She is actively involved in guiding students in Global Certifications with Service Now, Salesforce and MongoDB. Furthermore, she is actively involved in guiding 3 research scholars and two Scholars were awarded Ph.D under K L University in the domain of Big Data Analytics. She is recognized research Supervisor under JNTUH, Anurag University and KL University Dr.D Aruna Kumari’s commitment to academic excellence is further evidenced by her receipt of seminar grants from DST for organizing the conferences/workshops. With an experience spanning 19 years in academia and research and she has organized one National and Two international conferences in the domain of Computational Intelligence and Data Engineering.
